Drawing interest from a global audience, the event attracted professors, researchers, scholars, and technology pioneers from 17 countries, including the United Kingdom, Canada, Italy, Japan, South Korea, and Singapore. Recognized as a premier platform for presenting and discussing the latest advancements in intelligent information technology, the workshop facilitated networking, research experience exchange, and academic collaboration.

ICIIT 2024 is co-organized by FPT University and Hong Kong Chemical, Biological & Environmental Engineering Society (HKCBEES)

Diverse Research Topics

The workshop covered diverse areas such as Modern Information Theory and Technology, IoT and Network Security, Digital Signal and Multimedia Technology, Communication and Information System, and Artificial Intelligence (AI). Notably, AI emerged as a dominant theme, reflecting its continued significance in global research trends.

Several presentations focused on Artificial Intelligence, showcasing the ongoing advancements in the field. Topics included "Artificial Intelligence to Explore Multimodality Data and Accelerate Biomedical Knowledge Discovery" by Prof. Balachandran Manavalan from Sungkyunkwan University, South Korea, and "What Else Does AI Stand For" by Dr. Hung Dang from FPT Corporation, Vietnam.

Prof. Eui-Nam Huh from Kyung Hee University, South Korea, emphasized the enduring relevance of AI as a trend keyword. A presentation on "Challenges in Cloud Continuum Computing for Hyper-scale AI Services" generated substantial interest, exploring the diverse future applications of AI services.

One standout presentation was "Brain Machine Interface Systems – Interpreting and Translating Thoughts into Actions" by Prof. Vinod A. Prasad from the Institute of Technology, Singapore. This research delved into decoding Brain-Machine Interface (BMI) systems, prioritizing applications such as artificial limbs, self-driving vehicles, brain-controlled computer games, and biometric recognition.

FPT Education's Impact

Out of 170 global presentations, FPT Education, as a co-organizer, contributed 23 presentations featuring individuals from their institution. This collaboration, highlighted by Mr. Vo Dang Phat, Director of Communication & Marketing at FPT Corporation, emphasized the workshop's role in providing valuable international academic experiences, enhancing research and training quality, and strengthening the global positions of both organizations.
