Abstract

We examine the integration of blockchain technology, smart contracts, and Non-Fungible Tokens (NFTs) in organic product supply chain management. We propose a unified framework to address challenges in transparency, ethical sourcing, and sustainability. The framework is evaluated across four EVM-compatible platforms: Binance Smart Chain, Polygon, Fantom, and Celo, assessing adaptability and performance. Key functionalities, including data recording, NFT creation for traceability, and NFT transferability, are analyzed for operational efficiency. Transaction costs are compared to gauge economic viability. Our findings contribute to more transparent and efficient organic supply chains, offering insights into practical blockchain implementation for improved traceability and trust.
