The rapid growth in home deliveries from E-Commerce has led to an increased number of trucks and vans delivering parcels within residential areas causing higher levels of emissions other externalities such as noise and crashes. Parcel lockers provide a convenient delivery access points that provide increased flexibility for receivers and reduced delivery costs for carriers. This seminar will describe how models can be developed for planning and designing parcel locker networks for improving the sustainability of parcel distribution in cities.
